Once established we would aim to provide donations and grants for conservation projects whilst also holding at least three social events each year. These might be visits to collections, nature reserves, lectures and dinners and would be opportunities for members to gain inspiration and also network within the industry.
The formation of a London Livery Company is a gradual process that requires the initial formation of a guild of 25 members and approximately £20 000 in reserves. This should allow us to approach the Court of Alderman to apply to become a Company (without Livery). This would then aim to achieve 100 members and a charity account of some £150 000 and current account of £50 000. The next stage, some three or four years later, requires the membership to increase and the funds to rise to about £350 000 in the Charity account and £50 000 in the current account.
